On July 27, 2026, the Indian Space Research Organisation will release the notification for recruitment of Assistant, Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Stenographer, Assistant (Autonomous Bodies), and Junior Personal Assistant (Autonomous Bodies) against a total number of 242 vacancies, whose reservation details are available in the table below.

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for the ISRO Recruitment 2026, it is mandatory that you meet the eligibility criteria for the certain positions that we have shared below.

The cut-off date to calculate the age is August 16, 2026. Candidates who are above the upper age limit can apply by claiming the age relaxation of 3 years for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC and ST. Notably, there’s an additional age relaxation of 10 years for PwBD-category candidates.

Application Fee

In order to apply for the ISRO Recruitment 2026 for any position, you have to pay the application fee of 500 rupees. All female candidates and male candidates who belong to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Caste, Persons with Benchmark Disability, and Ex-servicemen get a full refund.

Male individuals belonging to the Unreserved, Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer), and Economically Weaker Section will get only ₹400 as a refund. The application fee can be paid using a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI. Notably, the due date to pay it is August 16, 2026.

Selection Process 

The selection process for the ISRO Recruitment 2026 consists of multiple stages depending on the position. Refer to listed points to check the different stages for the different positions. 

  • Assistant, Upper Division Clerk (UDC) & Assistant (Autonomous Bodies): Written Test, Computer Literacy Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
  • Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Stenographer & Junior Personal Assistant (Autonomous Bodies): Written Test, English Shorthand Skill Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

Exam Date & Pattern 

The Indian Space Research Organisation will announce the date for the written examination after accepting the application form from eligible and interested candidates. They are expected to conduct the first stage of the selection process in the last quarter of 2026. It may take place in computer-based test mode with a duration of 2 hours, with mediums in English and Hindi. In this examination, there may be four hundred objective-type questions.
