BTSC FSO Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 105 Food Safety Officer Posts

The Bihar Technical Service Commission released the notification for the BTSC FSO recruitment 2026 on September 25, 2026, and invited eligible candidates to apply, and the window to apply online is available with the release of the notification. The online application form for the Food Safety Officer recruitment at the Bihar Health Department is available at https://btsc.bihar.gov.in/. 

Note that the Bihar Public Service Commission is accepting only the online application form for the Bihar FSO recruitment 2026. As per the notification, the BPSC is going to accept the applications from the aspirants until October 24, 2026. Candidates have got time a month to apply, but we recommend aspirants submit their application without waiting for the last-minute rush.

Candidates who have pursued MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BAMS, or B.S.R.M.S. (Sowa Rigpa) are also eligible.

Age Limit

• The minimum age requirement is 21 years.
• The upper age limit is 37 years for males and 40 years for females.

The age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for BC and EBC male candidates and 5 years for SC and ST male and female candidates. The additional age relaxation is applicable for 10 years for PwBD. The cut-off date to calculate the age is August 1, 2026.

Application Fee

The payment of the application fee is one of the requirements to apply for BTSC Food Safety Officer recruitment 2026. The payable amount is 100 rupees; it is non-refundable, meaning after payment candidates won’t get a refund under any circumstances. It can be paid using the debit card, credit card, NET banking, and UPI. 

Selection Process 

The selection process for the Bihar Food Safety Officer recruitment 2026 consists of computer-based examination and document verification. The Bihar Technical Service Commission will prepare the final selection list based on candidates’ performance in the first stage of the selection process.

Pay Scale 

Candidates who will be appointed as Food Safety Officers under the Bihar Health Department will get the salary as per Level 6 of the 7th Pay Commission. The basic pay for this position starts from ₹35,400 and goes up to ₹112,400. The initial salary of personnel will be ₹35,400 and allowances such as dearness allowance and house rent allowance.
