Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for the recruitment of nursing officers under the AIIMS and other institutions and hospitals are as follows. Refer to the listed points to check if you can apply.
- Educational Qualification: You have completed a B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, or GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) with 2 years’ experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital and are registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or a State Nursing Council.
- Age Limit: You shouldn’t be below 18 years and above 30 years as of August 13, 2026. The upper age relaxation is applicable for 5 years for SC and ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and an additional 10 years for the PwBD. If you are above the age of 30 years, you can claim relaxation and apply.
Application Fee

Make sure you deposit the required non-refundable amount by the deadline set by the AIIMS, New Delhi, which is August 13, 2026. If you miss the deadline, you won’t be able to pay the application fee, i.e., you won’t be able to apply without a fee. You can finalize your application form.
Selection Process
The selection process for recruitment of nursing officers under AIIMS and other institutions and hospitals consists of two stages, which are preliminary examination and main examination. They have already confirmed the date for both stages. The first and second are all set to take place on September 12 and 23, 2026, respectively. They will prepare a final selection list based on the individual’s performance in the main examination.
