UKPSC Tax Inspector Recruitment 2026 Notification Out: 29 Vacancies, Apply Till August 4

On July 15, 2026, the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission released an advertisement for the recruitment of a Tax & Revenue Inspector (Group C) under the Urban Development Department, Government of Uttarakhand, against a total number of 29 vacancies. Eligibility Criteria 

If you want to apply for the UKPSC Tax & Revenue Inspector Recruitment 2026, you must have pursued a bachelor’s degree in any subject from a University Grants Commission-recognized university. Additionally, your age shouldn’t be 21 years and 42 years as of July 1, 2026. 

If you are above the age of 21 years, you can claim the age relaxation, which is 5 years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Class and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities.

Selection Process 

The selection process for the UKPSC Tax & Revenue Inspector Recruitment 2026 consists of two stages, which are the written examination and document verification. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission will prepare the final selection list based on candidates’ performance in the first stage.

Exam Date

The date for the written exam is still undisclosed. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission is likely to conduct the first stage of the selection process, most probably in the last quarter of 2026. Notably, the actual date and time of the examination are all set to be available on the admit card, which they will release around 7-10 days before the examination.

Exam Pattern 

The UKPSC will conduct the written examination in offline mode using the computer-based test. In this examination, there will be 2 papers: General Hindi and General Studies. In paper 1, they will ask a total of 100 objective-type questions, and in paper 2, there will be 200 MCQs. 

Each question will have a weightage of 1 mark with a negative marking provision of ¼ mark. The medium of the examination is set to be English and Hindi, except Paper 1. To touch the maximum number of questions in Paper 1 and paper 2, you are all set to get an hour and 2 hours, respectively, for each.

Pay Scale 

If you are appointed as Tax & Revenue Inspector (Group C) under the UK Urban Development Department, you will get your pay as per the Level 5 pay scale, which includes basic pay from ₹5,200 to ₹20,200 and grade pay of ₹2,800. Additionally, you will get Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, and other benefits.
