TGPSC Seed Certification Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026
In order to apply for this recruitment, you are required to meet the eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
- Educational Qualification: You must have pursued a BSc (Agriculture) and an MSc (Agriculture) in seed technology, plant breeding, agronomy, or plant physiology.
- Age Limit: You shouldn’t be younger than 18 years and older than 44 years as of July 1, 2026.
If you are above the age of 44 years, you can claim the upper age relaxation, which is 5 years for the SC, ST, BC, and EWS categories.

TGPSC Seed Certification Officer Selection Process 2026
The selection process for this recruitment is set to be one via a written examination. The TGPSC will conduct the last stage of the selection process most probably in October 2026; however, they are yet to confirm whether it will be held in CBT mode or using the OMR sheet. The exam patterns are already made public with the notification release.
In this written examination, there will be two papers. In paper 1, they will ask questions from general studies & general abilities, and in paper 2, from the concerned subject. In each paper, they are all set to ask 150 objective-type questions of 2 marks, meaning the weightage of each paper is 300 marks. There’s no negative marking provision.
The medium of Paper 1 is set to be English and Telugu, and for Paper 2 it is only English. They also have released the minimum passing marks details for this examination; it is 40% for UR and EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC, ST, and PwBD. Meeting these requirements doesn’t mean you will pass the examination; to clear it, you need to score equal to or above cut-off marks.
