On July 17, 2026, RITES Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, released a notification for the recruitment of an Assistant Manager (Mechanical) against a total of 24 vacancies, whose breakdown is available in the table.

Out of total vacancies, 1 vacancy is reserved vertically for Cat-C (locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy).

Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for the RITES Assistant Manager Recruitment 2026 in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows:

  • Educational Qualification: Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an AICTE or UGC-recognized institution.
  • Age Limit: Up to 32 years as of August 17, 2026. Upper age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC and ST.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in the mechanical engineering field.

To solve the maximum number of questions, each candidate is set to get a time duration of 2 hours 3 minutes. Applicants belonging to the PH category will get an additional time duration of 50 minutes.

Notably, the minimum passing mark for the unreserved and economically weaker sections is 50%, but for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Class, and persons with benchmark disabilities, it is 45%.
