A notification for recruitment against the position of Radiographer under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha is officially out on August 28, 2026. The Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission has asked online applications from the candidates who are eligible and interested, the registration, for candidates interested in applying, and registration, those already have registered, is all set begin on August 31, 2026.
The window to submit the application form for the OSSSC Radiographer Recruitment 2026 is all set to last until September 30, 2026. Candidates who are interested and eligible shouldn’t wait for the last date and submit their application form in the initial stage so they won’t have to face the last minute rush. The total vacancies for recruitment of Radiographers is 240, out of which, 45, 72, 25, and 23 are for Unreserved, Schedule Tribe, Schedule Caste, and Socially & Economically Backward Class, respectively.

The cut-off date to calculate the age is 28 August 2026, age relaxation is applicable for 5 years for all female candidates, and male aspirants who belong to SEBC, SC, and ST may also claim the relaxation of 5 years. The additional relaxation of 10 years is applicable for the PwD category.

The written exam date is still pending, the OSSSC may conduct it by late 2026. They haven’t confirmed whether they will hold it in offline or online mode. In this examination, there will be a total number of 100 questions of each one mark. The number of questions breakdown are as follows.
- DMRT: 60 questions
- Practical Skills: 25 questions
- Arithmetic: 10 questions
- English: 5 questions
There is also a provision of negative marking, for each incorrect response 0.25 mark will be deducted. To solve the maximum number of questions candidates are set to get a time duration of 2 hours. Candidates who will pass the written examination will have to participate in the document verification, and then joining will take place.

Candidates who will be appointed as the Radiographer will get the starting basic pay of ₹25,500 with additional benefits that includes dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and others. The current DA is 60% of basic pay, and HRA is upto 14%.
