The written examination for the recruitment of Forest Guard and Forester under the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department and Excise Constable under the Excise Department was conducted from 16 April 2026 to 15 May 2026 for the candidates who applied for this recruitment drive. A large number of candidates have participated in the examination, and now all these are waiting for the result announcement.
The OSSSC is the organisation that conducted the examination; it was held in online mode. They will announce the result for the examination as a merit list, which will carry the roll number of qualified candidates. Only those candidates are going to be shortlisted on this document whose score will at least meet the cut-off marks, the minimum requirement to pass the online examination.
The minimum passing criteria are made public officially. It is 35% for UR and SEBC and only 30% for SC, ST, PwD, ex-servicemen, and sportspersons. Notably, it is the score that is required to qualify for the examination and can possibly be the minimum cut-off mark. The sooner they complete the response sheet evaluation process, the sooner they will announce the result.
The Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission has not confirmed any date for result release; they may announce it in the last week of July 2026. What’s next after the OSSSC Forest Guard Result 2026?
Following the announcement of results for the online examination, the OSSSC will conduct the second stage of Forest Guard, Forester and Excise Constable, which includes physical standard measurement and physical efficiency test.
