What after the MHT CET 2026 result?

The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, will conduct the centralised admission process after the result release. You can participate in it only if you have passed the examination. It includes multiple stages that we have discussed below:

  • Firstly, you have to register on the CAP portal by providing your personal, academic, and category details.
  • After completing the registration, you have to participate in the document verification, for which you have to visit Facilitation Centres (FCs); it can also be done online via e-Scrutiny.
  • Once the document verification is completed, they will release the provisional merit list, and a few days after that, the final one will be made public.
  • After the release of the final merit list, the window for choice filling, i.e., choosing colleges and courses, will be available; you have to exercise this option before the deadline.
  • A few days after the closure of the choice-filling window, they will release the seat allotment result, and then you have to download your allotment letter and report to the allotted college for the admission formalities.

It is important to understand that if you are not satisfied with the seat allotment result in the first/second/third allotment, you will have an option to accept the seat and even participate in the next stage of counselling, so if you get a better seat, you can switch colleges. This option will be available only if the college you are allotted is not your first choice in the preferences.
