BFUHS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 Notification for 630 Posts, Apply Before August 5

On July 15, 2026, the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, released advertisement No. BFU-26/26 for the recruitment of a medical officer (general) against a total number of 630 vacancies, including 540 fresh and 90 backlog. The category-wise number of positions is shared inside the table below. 

Eligibility Criteria 

If you want to apply for the BFUHS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026, you are required to meet the educational qualification and age limit shared below.

• You have pursued a Bachelor’s of Medicine and a Bachelor’s of Surgery from an NMC-recognized institution.
• You have permanent registration with the Punjab Medical Council or the National Medical Council.
• You must have passed the matriculation examination with Punjabi as a language subject.
• You shouldn’t be younger than 18 years and older than 37 years as of January 1, 2026.

If you are above 37 years but belong to a reserved category, you may claim the upper age relaxation that we have shared below:

• SC/BC: 5 years
• Persons with Disabilities: 10 years
• Government Employees: Up to 45 years
• Widows/Divorcees: Up to 40 years

Application Fee

In order to submit an application form for the BFUHS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026, you have to pay the application fee of ₹2,360. If you belong to a Scheduled Caste, then you have to deposit the required amount of only ₹1,180. Make sure you pay the required amount using the debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI by the due date.

Selection Process 

The selection process for the BFUHS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 consists only of a written examination. The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, hasn’t confirmed any date for conducting this examination, but many reports suggest that it may be held in late 2026. 

They are likely to conduct it in offline mode using the OMR sheet. In this examination, a total of 100 objective-type questions are set to be asked from the following subjects:

Each question is expected to carry a weightage of 1 mark, and a negative marking provision is very unlikely. The medium of examination will be only English, and to touch all questions, each candidate may get a time duration of 2 hours.

You will be shortlisted for the appointment only if your score in the written examination meets or exceeds the cut-off marks for your category. Notably, the minimum passing mark is 33%, meaning 33 marks is a score that can be the minimum possible cut-off marks to get shortlisted for appointment.
