AOC Group C Recruitment 2026 

The recruitment notification of Group C positions, including Tradesman Mate, Fireman, JOA, MTS, and Material Assistant, is set to be made public on August 24, 2026, and the application form to apply for the same will be available from the same date at aocrecruitment.gov.in. All candidates who are eligible and interested can apply for it.

If you are interested in applying for the AOC Group C recruitment 2026, you should know that the window to submit the application form is all set to be available online until September 23, 2026, 11:59 pm. To apply for this recruitment drive, candidates will have to first register and then log in to fill in the application form by providing details, uploading documents, and paying the application fee.

The Army Ordnance Corps, which comes under the Ministry of Defense, has officially announced the number of vacancies for recruitment of Tradesman Mate, Fireman, JOA, MTS, and Material Assistant via the short notification on August 11, 2026. There are a total of 2,615 positions, whose complete breakdown is in the table.

AOC Group C Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for the AOC Group C Recruitment 2026 are as follows in terms of educational qualifications and age limit. Refer to the table below to check if you are eligible to apply for any of these five different positions. 

If you meet the educational qualification for any position but are above the upper age limit, you can claim age relaxation, which is 3 years for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC and ST category candidates.

AOC Group C Recruitment 2026: Application Fee

The Army Ordnance Corps hasn’t yet announced the application fee for the recruitment of different Group C positions. Note that it will be available on the notification brochure that is scheduled to be made public on August 14, 2026. Once the notification is made public, we will update the details.

In 2024, there were no application fees to apply for this recruitment. So, we are expecting the same for the year 2026 also. 

AOC Group C Recruitment 2026: Selection Process 

The selection process for the AOC Group C Recruitment 2026 varies from one to another depending on position. For the Tradesman Mate and Fireman, it includes a physical test and written examination, but for JOA, it consists of a typing test and written examination, and for MTS and Material Assistant, it has only a written examination.

Army AOC Group C Recruitment 2026: Pay Scale

The pay scale for the different Group C positions under the AOC vary from one another under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Refer to the table below to check the basic pay range for the position you are interested in getting appointed. 

The salary includes basic pay, dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other benefits as per the Government of India rules. The amount in hand you get will be the amount after deduction of applicable taxes and pension.
