Telangana FBO Recruitment 2026 Notification Soon for 1,393 Vacancies, Latest Updates Here

The Telangana Public Service Commission will soon release the notification for recruitment of Forest Beat Officers under the Forest Department, Government of Telangana, for a total number of 1,393 vacancies. The date for the notification release is still pending, and there’s no update from the commission regarding the same. We are expecting it to be made public in late August 2026 or early September 2026. 

The notification for the Telangana FBO recruitment 2026 will carry all crucial information such as important dates, number of vacancies, eligibility criteria, application fee, and much more. Overview 

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for the FBO recruitment under the Telangana Forest Department, you have at least passed the intermediate examination from a school recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana, or the Central Teacher of Second Education, New Delhi; and you aren’t younger than 18 years and older than 31 years. 

If you are above the age of 31 years but meet the educational qualification and still under 36, you can claim the age relaxation of 5 years if you belong to a Backward Class, Scheduled Tribes, or Scheduled Caste. To claim the age relaxation, you have to provide the category certificate.

Application Fee

To apply for the Telangana FBO Recruitment 2026, you may have to pay the application fee and examination fee, which are expected to be different from one another depending on the category. The details regarding it are set to be available on notification. The application fee is expected to be 200 rupees for all categories and the examination fee 80 rupees only for the unreserved category candidates.

Candidates who belong to the Backward Class, Scheduled Tribes, and Scheduled Caste are exempted from the application fee payment. To pay the application fee, you will have multiple options such as debit card, credit card, NET banking, and UPI. Note that you have to pay the fee only on the official portal, so ensure you don’t pay even a single rupee on any third-party portal.

Selection Process 

The selection process for the Forest Beat Officer recruitment under the Telangana Forest Department consists of three stages, which are a computer-based test, a physical standard test, and a physical efficiency test. The last two stages are expected to be qualifying in nature, and the Telangana Public Service Commission will prepare the final selection list for the appointment based on the CBT score.

Only those candidates are going to be shortlisted for the appointment as FBO under the Forest Department, Government of Telangana, whose score in the written examination will meet or exceed the cut-off marks in the computer-based test. The cut-off marks for final selection are set to be different from one another depending on category.

Pay Scale

If you are appointed as Forest Beat Officer under the Telangana Forest Department, you will get the starting pay of ₹16,400. Your net salary will include basic pay, dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other benefits after deducting taxes and pension. Currently, the dearness allowance is 33.67% of basic pay, and HRA ranges from 11% to 24%, depending on location.
