What happens after the WB ANM GNM result 2026?
After the result for the WB ANM GNM Entrance Examination 2026, you have to participate in counseling. The admission process includes multiple stages of online registration and fee payment, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and college reporting. Notably, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination conducts the counseling in multiple rounds between August and September.
To participate in the counseling, you have to first register yourself by providing the requested details and paying Rs. 500. After completing the registration, you have to choose the college and/or training schools in preference to where you want to get admission and lock your choice by the deadline.
A few days after the closure of the choice-filling window, the WBJEE Board will release the seat allotment result, allotting colleges to students to get admission. If you get a college the same as your first preference, you have to pay ₹1,000 to accept a seat and download the allotment letter to report to the allotted college for the admission formalities.
If you are allotted a seat other than your first choice, you have two options: the first is to accept a seat and report to the college for admission, and the second is to opt for the option of upgrading to get a better college in the next round.
