The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducted the Combined Technical Services examination on March 7 and 8, 2026, against a total of 76 vacancies for provisionally shortlisted candidates for a personal interview. If you have participated in the computer-based test examination and are waiting for the result, then note that they will announce it very soon on its official website.
The commission hasn’t confirmed any result date for the CBT examination. Reports suggest that the response sheet evaluation process is already completed; now they are going to announce the result very soon. The most expected date for the result is the last week of July 2026. Notably, they will announce the result as a merit list, on which you will find the register number of qualified candidates.
If you have participated in the CBT examination, you will find your register number on this document only if your score meets or exceeds the cut-off marks, the minimum marks required to be declared successful in the examination. Note that the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will release the cut-off marks with the result; they are set to be different from one another for each category.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission may conduct the interview for the CTS within a few weeks after the result of the CBT examination. We expect that they will conduct it in the third quarter of 2026. They will hold it in face-to-face mode with a weightage of 60 marks, whose duration is expected to be around 30 minutes; however, these are yet to be confirmed.
After the interview, the TNPSC will prepare the final selection list based on the candidates’ performance in Paper I (Parts B & C) (General Studies & Aptitude) (150 Marks), Paper II (Core Technical Specialization) (300 Marks), and Phase 2 (Oral Test / Interview) (60 Marks).
