NEET UG 2026 Result, Scorecard Release Update, Passing Percentile

Students seeking admission for the MBBS and BDS courses in the medical and dental colleges across India for the academic year 2026-27 took part in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate 2026. Lakhs of candidates across the nation have participated in the examination, and now they are all waiting for the result release.

The organisation that conducted the examination is NTA. They have conducted it in offline mode using the OMR, and there’s a high speculation that they will complete their evaluation process within 6 weeks. The sooner they complete it, the sooner they will announce the result.

Reportedly, the results for NEET UG 2026 will be made public in the second week of June 2026. The NTA will announce it as a scorecard, which will be accessible using the application number and password. The candidates are advised to keep their login credentials ready to check the result as soon as it is announced.

Notably, only those whose scores will be equal to or above the minimum percentile, which is the 50th percentile for the general candidates and the 40th percentile for the OBC, SC, ST and PH category candidates, are going to be declared qualified, and also note that every single participant will get an AIR, whether he or she passes the examination.

What is after the NEET UG 2026 result?

Once the results for NEET UG 2026 are made public, all qualified candidates will be able to participate in the admission process for the MBBS and other courses for which the NEET UG 2026 score is accepted to get admission. The MBBS/BDS admission process, known as counselling, is conducted at two levels: national and state.

The counselling for the national level is conducted by the medical counselling committee, and the state-level counselling is held by the concerned body. The counselling that MCC will hold will include all the colleges across the nation for only 15% of the seats, and the counselling at the state level will be held for the remaining 85% of the seats.

The medical counselling committee conducted the counselling for 100% of seats in deemed universities, central universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
