Candidates who are interested in getting appointed to the position of assistant environmental engineer and/or assistant scientific officer under the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board took part in the first stage of the selection process that was conducted on April 27, 2026. Note that now the exam-conducting body is going to release the results very soon.
The examination was conducted via CBT. It is expected that the response evaluation process will be completed within 4 weeks, and then the announcement of the result will take place. The date for the result release is yet to be confirmed officially, but there is a higher expectation that it will be announced by late May 2026.
The announcement of results will take place on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board at https://uppcb.up.gov.in/ as a merit list, which will carry the roll number of those candidates who have passed the examination. How to check the UPPCB result 2026?
In order to check the result for the UPPCB ASO/AEE written examination 2026, please go through the step-by-step instructions.
- Go to the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board.
- Click on the option related to the recruitment.
- Tap on the option that reads ‘Recruitment of AEE & ASO – 2026’ and go to the next page.
- Find and click on the ‘Result for the Written Exam held on April 27, 2026′ and download the PDF.
- Open the result file and search for your roll number to check if you have passed the examination.
UPPCB Cut-off Marks 2026
The cut-off mark is the minimum requirement to be declared successful in the online examination held against the positions of ASO and AEE. They are not yet revealed because the exam-conducting body has yet to decide it based on reservation rules and the number of vacancies.
Note that it will be available on the last page of the result. For reference, we have given the category-wise cut-off mark out of 400 marks for both positions in the table below.

Once the UPPCB has announced the result for the written examination for AEE and ASO, we will update the actual category-wise cut-off marks for each position.
What after the UPPCB Result 2026?
Participants of the written examination must know that after the results for both positions, qualified candidates will be called for the second stage of the selection process, an interview. The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board will conduct it in face-to-face mode, which carries a weightage of 70 marks, and the medium is both English and Hindi.
Following the successful completion of the interview, the organisation will prepare the final selection list based on the candidates’ performance in the written examination and interview. Candidates who meet the cut-off marks out of 470 will be shortlisted for the appointment, and they will have to participate in the document verification to complete the appointment process.
The final cutoff marks on which the selection will be done will be made public with the final result; it will also be available on the last page of the final merit list. We have also shared the expected category-wise final cutoff marks for both positions.
