The number of vacancies for the Hostel Welfare Officer recruitment is 73, including 29 for BC welfare subordinate services, 23 for tribal welfare, and 21 for social welfare. APPSC Hostel Welfare Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026
In order to apply for the APPSC Hostel Welfare Officer recruitment 2026, it is mandatory for a candidate to meet the eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit. They are:
- To apply for the HWO (Grade II) position under the Social or BC Welfare Subordinate Service, a candidate must have pursued a bachelor’s degree in the subject from a UGC-recognized university and completed a two-year BEd from an NCTE-recognized institution; for the Tribal Welfare Subordinate Service, one can have a diploma in elementary education instead of a BEd.
- The minimum age requirement is 18 years, and the upper is 44 years. Individuals who belong to the SC, ST, BC, and EWS categories can claim the age relaxation for 5 years. There’s an additional age relaxation of 10 years for the PwBD candidate.
