SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2026
To apply for the SSC CPO Recruitment 2026, you must have pursued a bachelor’s degree in any subject from a UGC-recognised university. For the SI Fire position, a bachelor’s degree with physics, chemistry and mathematics is required; alternatively, a three-year diploma in engineering from an AICTE-recognised institution is also accepted.
In addition to educational qualifications, meeting the age limit is required. The age limit is 20 to 25 years for most of the SI positions; for the SI Fire, the age limit is 18 to 30 years. The age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC and ST. There is an additional age relaxation for 10 years for the PwBD category.
SSC CPO Application Fee 2026
In order to apply for the SSC CPO Recruitment 2026, the payment of the application fee is mandatory. The payable amount for male candidates who belong to UR, OBC, and EWS is required to pay the application fee of 100 rupees. All female and other male aspirants are exempted from the application fee payment.
SSC CPO Selection Process 2026
The selection process for the SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 consists of four stages, which are Computer Based Examination I, Physical Standard Test & Physical Endurance Test, Computer Based Examination II, and Detailed Medical Examination. The final selection list is set to be prepared based on the score in the CBE I and II.
SSC CPO Pay Scale 2026
Candidates who will be appointed as sub-inspector under the Delhi Police or CAPF will get a salary as per Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The starting basic pay is ₹35,400. In addition to basic pay, candidates will also receive the dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other as per the Government of India rules.
