On August 14, 2026, the Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited released Advertisement, 01/2026, and invited applications for the 60 position of Junior Engineering Assistant including Production, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation streams from the aspirant who have pursued three-year diploma in engineering in related stream from an AICTE-recognised institution and under the age of 30 years as of July 01, 2026.
The online application form is available at https://cpcl.onlineregistrationform.org/TNCPCL/index.action/, from August 14, 2026, and all set to remain active until September 11, 2026, aspirants who are eligible may submit their application form without any delay. The selection process includes computer based test, and skill, proficiency / physical test, after appointment candidates are set to receive the salary under the ₹25,000 to ₹1,05,000.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have pursued a three-year diploma in engineering from an AICTE-recognised institution with at least 60% score as aggregate in the respective discipline:
- Production: Chemical / Petroleum / Petrochemical Engineering or Technology.
- Mechanical: Mechanical Engineering.
- Electrical: Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Instrumentation: Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Communication.
Anyone who has pursued a BSc (Chemistry) can apply to the Production stream. Notably, for individuals who belong to ST, the minimum requirement is only 55% score as aggregate. In addition to educational qualification, you need at least three-year post-qualification experience in.
- Production: Continuous process units of Refining, Chemical, Petrochemical, Fertilizer or Gas Processing industries.
- Mechanical: Maintenance of rotary and stationary equipment in Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical, Fertilizer, Power Plant or large industrial establishments.
- Electrical: Maintenance of electrical equipment in continuous-process industries such as Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical, Fertilizer, Power Plant or large industrial establishments.
- Instrumentation: Maintenance of process-control instrumentation in Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical, Fertilizer or large process industrial establishments.
Meeting the age limit is also required, the minimum and maximum cap is 21 and 30 years, respectively, as of July 1, 2026. The relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC, and 5 years for SC and ST.

Selection Process
It consists of two stages: a computer-based test and skill, proficiency/ physical test. The former one is scoring and the latter is qualifying. There will be 120 MCQs of each 1 mark including 70 from General Aptitude and 50 from Discipline Knowledge. Each question carries 1 mark weightage, and negative marking of 0.25 mark. The time duration of the examination is 2 hours.
Pay Scale
After appointment, candidates will get the monthly basic pay range from ₹25,000 to ₹1,05,000. The starting salary includes ₹25,500 basic pay, DA, HRA or Self-Lease, PF, Gratuity, LTC or LFA, Medical reimbursement, Superannuation benefits, and other benefits as per government rules.
