The Bihar Public Service Commission conducted the preliminary examination for recruitment of Assistant Prosecution Officers under the Prosecution Directorate, Home Department, Government of Bihar, on July 15, 2026. What happens after the BPSC APO Prelims Result 2026?
After the BPSC Assistant Prosecution Officers preliminary examination 2026 result, the Bihar Public Service Commission will conduct the main examination, which may take place in the last quarter of 2026. They will conduct it in offline mode. There are a total of seven papers:
- General Studies
- General Hindi
- General English
- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023
- Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023
- Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023
- Constitutional Law and Civil Procedure Code
To touch each paper, you will get a time duration of 3 hours. The medium of the examination is set to be English and Hindi for each. The first three papers are each of 100 marks, and the last 3 to 6 papers consist of a weightage of 150 marks, and the last one carries 300 marks. After the main examination, the BPSC will conduct the interview for the individuals who have passed the second stage.
Notably, the commission will prepare the final selection list based on scores in the main examination and interview. You will be shortlisted for the appointment only if your score meets the final cut-off marks out of 1000. The expected final cut-off marks are as follows:
- UR: 640–670 marks
- EWS: 625–655 marks
- EBC: 615–645 marks
- BC: 605–635 marks
- SC: 560–600 marks
- ST: 540–580 marks
