UPTET 2026 Passing Criteria
To pass the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2026, you need at least a 60% score, i.e., 90 marks out of 150. If you belong to the Other Backward Class, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Caste, Economically Weaker Section, Ex-serviceman, or Person with Benchmark Disability, or are a dependent of a freedom fighter, then you need a 55% score, which is equivalent to 82 marks out of 150.
If your score in the UPTET 2026 meets or exceeds the minimum passing marks, the commission will award you a TET certificate, which is generally required to apply for or sit in the recruitment drive for primary teachers in government schools of Uttar Pradesh.
