The application form for the SSB Odisha Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 is available on the official website, https://ssbodisha.ac.in/, from July 01, 2026, and the window to submit the application form till August 18, 2026, by 11:45 pm.
If you are interested in applying for this recruitment, it is mandatory that you have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a UGC-recognised university and adequate knowledge of basic computer skills with a recognised computer certificate.
In addition to educational qualification, you must not be younger than 21 years and older than 42 years as of January 1, 2026. If you are above 21 years but belong to SEBC, SC, or ST, you can claim the upper age relaxation of 5 years for providing your category certificate.
To submit an application for this recruitment, the payment of the application fee of ₹500 is mandatory. Notably, if you belong to a reserved category such as SEBC, SC or ST, you only have to pay ₹200. To make payment, multiple options are available, including debit card, credit card, NET banking and UPI.
To recruit the candidate for the Junior Assistant position, the SSB Odisha will first conduct the written examination using an OMR sheet with a time duration of 2 hours, which carries a weightage of 100 marks, and then a computer skill test, which is qualifying in nature.
If you apply first for this recruitment, you have to sit in the first stage that may take place in the last quarter of 2026. In the written examination, they will ask a total of 100 objective-type questions from four different subjects, whose breakdown is shared below.

Each question in the first stage carries a weightage of 2 marks, and there’s also a provision of negative marking of ¼. For each incorrect response, they will deduct 0.5 marks. After clearing the written examination, you have to sit in the second stage, which will take place with a time duration of 1 hour and a weightage of 50 marks.
After the second stage, they will prepare the final selection list based on applicants’ performance in the written examination. The board will shortlist you for the final selection list for appointment if you have passed the second stage and your score in the first stage meets or exceeds the cut-off marks.
