NEET MDS 2026 Counselling

The counselling for the Master’s of Dental Surgery course admission in government and private dental colleges for the academic year 2026-27 will be conducted in two distinct divisions. Out of the total seats for MDS courses in India, 50% are reserved under the all-India quota, and the remaining 50% are under the state quota.

Notably, the MCC is the organisation that is responsible for conducting the counselling for all-India quota (AIQ) seats, and the same for state quota (SQ) seats is held by designated state authorities. The counselling processes of both are the same; both consist of registration and fee payment, choice selection and locking, and seat allotment and college reporting.

Both the Medical Counselling Committee and the concerned state authority will conduct the counselling for Master’s of Dental Surgery in multiple rounds; it is expected that the process for both AIQ and SQ seats will start within 4 to 6 weeks after the result, so we can expect its beginning by mid-July 2026.
