The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board conducted a written examination for the recruitment of Junior Assistant at the Higher Education Department, Jal Shakti Department, Agriculture Production Department, General Administration Department, Department of Culture, and Forest, Ecology and Environment Department on April 19, 2026, in offline mode using the OMR sheets. The results for the same will be made online as merit list.
If you are one among those candidates who have participated in this examination, note that the answer sheet evaluation process is almost completed, and the JKSSB is busy preparing the results. Reportedly, the board may announce the result in July 2026. Note that the result will carry the roll number of qualified candidates. You will find your roll number on this document only if your score will meet or exceeds the cut-off marks, to be revealed with the result.
The cut-off marks is the minimum requirement to be declared successful in the written examination. The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board is determining is based on the candidates’ performance, number of vacancies, and reservation rules. Once the JKSSB Junior Assistant Written Examination 2026 result is made public, you can check your outcome by going through the step-by-step instructions.
- Go to the official website of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board at https://jkssb.nic.in/.
- Find an option that reads ‘Result or Score-sheet of Written Test for the post of Junior Assistant, Advertisement No. 08 of 2025’ under the section of What’s New, and tap on it to download the merit list.
- Open the result file and search your Roll Number to check if you have passed the examination.
After the written examination result release, the JKSSB will conduct the Typing Skill Test and Document Verification, which are expected to be held in July 2026. The TST will be computer-based, it will be of 20 marks in which you have to type with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute with accuracy of 90 percent; those who will clear it will appear in the document verification.
Notably, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board will prepare the final selection list for the appointment of Junior Assistants at the various departments under the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, based on candidates’ aggregate score in the written examination and typing speed test.
Only those students are going to be shortlisted for appointment in the different departments, whose aggregate score will meet or exceed the cut-off marks. It will be released with the final results.
