KCET Result 2026: Karnataka UGCET Rank Card Download Link Available Soon 

The Karnataka Examination Authority conducted the Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2026 on 22, 23 and 24 April 2026 for the candidates who are seeking admission for undergraduate professional courses in the private and government institutions of Karnataka for the academic year 2026-27.

If you are one of those students who participated in the KCET 2026 examination, then you are hereby notified that the result will be available on the official website of KEA at https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/ in the next few days as a scorecard, which will be accessible using the required login credentials. 

They conducted the examination in offline mode using the OMR sheet. The local report says that the answer sheet evaluation process is still taking place, which will be completed shortly, and then the outcome will be made public. Any date for the result is not confirmed, but it is likely that they will release it in May 2026.

Notably, the result will show the subject-wise score and rank in the examination. Only those students are going to get a rank in it who will get at least 12 marks in the Kannada language test and pass the 2nd PUC examination with at least a 45% (40% is required for the reserved category) aggregate score.

How to check the KCET 2026 result?

In order to check the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) 2026 result, you have to go through the step-by-step instructions available below once released.

  • Go to the official website of the Karnataka Examination Authority.
  • Navigate to the menu bar and click the ‘admission’ option. 
  • Among the visible options, you have to click on UGCET – 2026.
  • Tap on the options related to the rank card and go to the login page.
  • Enter your application number, password and captcha, shown on the web page.
  • Click on the ” Login with OTP button and then provide the one-time password to check your result. 

What’s next after the KCET 2026 result?

Following the announcement of the results for the undergraduate common entrance test 2026 by the Karnataka Examination Authority, the counselling process will take place and include multiple stages. They are

  • The first stage is document verification. It is done online for the students participating in the Karnataka 2nd PUC Examination, but those who have passed the class 12 examination with CISCE/CBSE or are claiming sports, NCC, or defence quota seats will have to visit the designated KEA Helpline Centre with all required documents.
  • Once the verification process is completed, each candidate is able to download the verification slip, which carries a secret key that is required for taking part in the choice filling.
  • A few days after the completion of the DV process, the KEA will release the seat matrix and start the choice filing process. Students with the secret key will be able to log in to the web portal and choose their college and course in preference. For this, the window is likely to be available for 3 to 5 days. 
  • After the closure of the choice filling window, the KEA will release the mock allotment to give an idea to all the students where they stand; after its release, a window of 2 to 3 days will be available for the candidates to change their preference in the choice filling, if they are interested.
  • Then, the KEA will announce the final seat allotment result. If you are satisfied with the allotted seat, you have to pay the required fee, and then you can download the admission order. 

If you aren’t satisfied with the result, you have to choose the 2nd, 3rd or 4th option. The second is for those who want to accept the seat but are also looking for an upgrade in the round; the third is for those who do not want to accept the seats but want to stay in the next round of counselling; and the fourth is for those who don’t want to accept the seat and are not even interested in taking part in the next round of counselling.
