For this offline-conducted examination, the answer sheet evaluation process is anticipated to take four to six weeks, and the announcement of the result will take place. 

As the examination is conducted on July 19, we are expecting that they will complete the answer sheet evaluation process by August 2026. If things go as per our expectations, they may announce the result in September 2026. Notably, the commission will release it as a merit list, which will carry the roll number of qualified candidates.

Whose roll number will be available on the UPSC CAPF AC Result 2026?

Note that you will find your roll number on the merit list only if you score in this examination and meet or exceed the cut-off marks, which are set to be different from one another depending on the category. Refer to the table below to check the expected cut-off marks for each category out of 450 marks, including 250 marks from Paper 1 and 200 from Paper 2.

What happens after the UPSC CAPF AC Result 2026?

The selection process for the UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2026 consists mainly of five stages, including a written examination, physical standard test, physical efficiency test, medical standard test, and interview. After the result for the first stage, the second, third, and fourth will take place simultaneously, the date for which will be communicated to candidates via registered email. 

It is most likely that these three stages will take place in the last quarter of 2026. They are qualifying in nature, which means they don’t contribute to the final selection but are mandatory to pass to be considered for the final selection. After these three stages, the Union Public Service Commission will conduct the personal interview, whose weightage is 150 marks.

The commission will prepare the final selection list for the appointment of AC under the CAPFs based on candidates’ scores in the written examination and personal interview with a weightage of 75 and 25. You will be shortlisted for appointment only if your final score will be equal to or above the cut-off marks.
