RBI Grade B Result 2026: Preliminary Examination Merit List PDF Release Soon 

The Reserve Bank of India conducted the preliminary examination for the Grade B position in online mode via computer-based test mode on June 13 and 14, 2026. If you have participated in this examination, note that they will announce the result on its official website as a merit list carrying the roll numbers of qualified candidates.

As of now, they haven’t confirmed any date for the result. Reportedly, the examination-conducting body will complete the answer sheet evaluation process by mid-July 2026, and they will announce the result. You will find your roll number on the merit list if your score on the June 13 or 14, 2026, online examination is equal to or above the cut-off marks.

The cut-off marks are set to be different from one another for each category. They aren’t pre-decided; after the response sheet evaluation process, they will determine it based on the number of vacancies for each position and category, implementing the reservation rules.

How to check the RBI Grade B result 2026?

The step-by-step instructions to check the RBI Grade B prelims 2026 results are as follows: once they have made them public, you can check your outcome by going through them.

  • Go to the official website of the Reserve Bank of India.
  • Jump to the section of More Links and click on the Opportunities@RBI option.
  • Tap on Current Vacancies, and then hit the Results option. 
  • Click on the ‘Result of Phase-I examination for recruitment of officers in Grade ‘B’ (General/DEPR/DSIM) – PY 2026’ to download the merit list.
  • Open the result file and search for your roll number to check if you have passed the preliminary examination.

Also note after releasing the Grade B preliminary result as a merit list, they will make the scorecard public so participants can check their score in the examination. To check that document, you have to log in with your registration number and password that you created at the time of applying.

What after the RBI Grade B Prelims Result 2026?

The Reserve Bank of India will conduct the main examination for the qualified candidates; they have already announced the date for the same. On July 25, 2026, it will take place for the General Cadre, and the day after that, that is, July 26, 2026, for the DEPR and DSIM Cadres, in online mode using CBT.

There are three papers in the main examination: Paper 1 is Economic and Social Issues, Paper 2 is English, and Paper 3 is General Finance and Management. The first and third papers have a 50:50 structure for objective and subject questions’ weightage in terms of marks, but the second is fully descriptive.

Each paper carries a weight of 100 marks; the time duration for paper 1 and paper 3 is 120 minutes, including 30 minutes for objective and 90 minutes for descriptive questions, and paper 2 has a time duration of 90 minutes.
